Elevate your space with the captivating elegance of Birds Woodblock from the Yatsuo no Tsubaki collection, a vintage Japanese print attributed to Taguchi Tomoki (circa 1860–1869). Tomoki’s refined technique shines through in the delicate balance of form and colour, transforming these avian figures into a harmonious dance of nature and artistry, rooted in the Ukiyo-e tradition. The tranquil hues and flowing lines evoke a sense of quiet wonder as if capturing a fleeting moment above a vast, open sea. Perfect for a soothing bedroom, a refined office, or an art lover’s sanctuary, this timeless print infuses your home with the understated beauty of Japan’s artistic heritage, offering a serene focal point that resonates with grace and poise.

Taguchi Tamoki (active late 19th–early 20th century) was a Japanese woodblock print artist known for his elegant designs rooted in traditional ukiyo-e aesthetics. Born in a regional town, possibly in central Japan, he trained under local artisans before establishing himself in Kyoto, a hub of artistic innovation during the Meiji era. Tamoki gained recognition for his intricate patterns and nature-inspired motifs, often depicting seasonal flora and fauna with a refined, minimalist style. His works, including contributions to design books for textiles and decorative arts, reflected a blend of Edo-period techniques and emerging modern influences. Though less documented than contemporaries, his legacy endures through preserved prints admired by collectors today.
