“I paint to know myself; I know myself when I paint.”
— Siân
THE ARTIST
Currently residing on Waiheke Island, Tāmaki Makaurau, Siân thrives everyday surrounded by water and four winds. She connects with the land that roots her to the earth, while the ocean supplies her with a daily cleanse.
Siân has always been a creative and knows her calling is to be an artist - it's one of the sure things she knows about herself. Her self-belief in art grew as she became a mother, more out of an essential need to be in flow with creative energy so she could be true as a human for her kids; they are her greatest teachers. As a sole parent, her drive to create a sustainable art practice and provide a future for her kids is now paramount and there is no turning back.
Siân's confidence continues to grow in the faith that her art practices seemingly makes a connection with another, a fantastic blessing for herself and one she is still learning to accept.
Art and creativity is meaningful to Siân. She expresses herself through her daily connections with life & nature, her alignment with being a strong women and tapping into her imagination. Siân will continue to paint and write in her secluded abode, on a little island in the middle of the ocean. This first collective of work is just the beginning of Siân exploring her craft and she is excited to showcase her art for the first time and deliver it to the people.
