PRINTS
By default we print all of our art & photography prints on either one of two; finest smooth or textured Enhanced Matte acid-free art paper (210gsm white) AND a smooth or textured Cotton Rag (270gsm warm white) with archival inks for rich colour, details & longevity.
Our printing partners offer a premium quality and gallery art finish that will make you proud to showcase your new art piece in your home, workplace or special space.
Yes! Our framing is an optional choice on all of our art and photography prints.
Please note we do not offer framing on downloadable Digital Prints, Canvas Prints, Free Prints or Original Artwork and for some of our Art Gifts.
Digital prints are designed to be downloaded instantly so you can choose how you wish to frame your new print wherever your location in the world.
We are happy to connected you with one of our partnering suppliers if you wish to have your fabulous downloadable digital art custom-framed.
This ✜ symbol represents our Variable Art Products. This shows you the customer if it's available in more than one product option, within the same product.
For example; some art and photography prints are available in different colour ways, paper stocks and orientations. Digital Prints can also be purchased as Art & Photography Prints. You can select the type of print you want by simply selecting the dropdown as either physical or digital.
Digital Art Prints is a digital product that is delivered to your email with a link you click to download your art print and requires no shipping. You will have the option to either select the Digital Print version (no frame) or a physical option (add a frame).
Physical Art Prints are physical products that are printed (framed or unframed) and physically shipped to your door.
Please note – Digital Prints do not have "add a frame" option. They are printable versions and are only delivered electronically.
Canvas Prints can also have the option of Art & Photography Prints. Again, giving you the choice whether you want the art imagery shipped as a physical Canvas Gallery Wrapped (no frame option), or a physical Art Print (framed or unframed).
Please note we do not ship stretched over a frame Canvas Prints internationally – we only ship them rolled up in a tube.
We also do not offer a framing service for Gallery Wrapped Canvas Prints, but we can send you to the right people.
Canvas art prints are stretched over a sub-frame, then framed with a shadowbox/tray frame.
Canvas prints don't need glass and they have a natural canvas look, feel and vibe. We like to offer some of our limited collections this way to give our customers an original art finish for their art.
Canvas prints replicate an original painting as close to the original as possible – but without the original art price tag.
Customers have the option to purchase Canvas Prints stretched over a frame and shipped for a flat rate within NZ ready to hang, or you can purchase it rolled up and shipped in a tube.
Please note we do not ship stretched over a frame Canvas Prints internationally – only rolled up in a tube.
A Digital Print is delivered electronically once you have successfully completed the check out and payment process.
Digital Prints are also known as Printable Prints, because they are designed to let you print them at home or send them to your local print shop. This way - you get to choose how you want them printed.
All of our Digtial Prints are sized at "A Series" which means you can enlarge them or reduce them to the right size you need. Finding a frame for your new print then becomes your choice. Please note we size all of our prints by international ISO standards – A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0. When choosing the right frame for your new print - look for these frame sizes to ensure your new print will fit it correctly.
We offer our Digital Prints at a reduced price over our Art Prints making them an affordable and easily accessible for customers located anywhere in the world. If you are located offshore there is no need to wait for shipping time frames, or pay for shipping.
Digital Prints are delivered by email with a link to download.
Please note we do not offer refunds on any Digital Prints or products.
Our Free Prints are exactly that. They are FREE! There is no charge and they are delivered electronically via email after checkout and payment is confirmed.
We like to share the love, so we've created a few FREE prints for everyone to enjoy. It's our way of giving back to our customers and spreading positive messages for everyone and anyone to enjoy.
Add a free print to your cart at anytime. Keep it for yourself, send to someone as a gift, or use them as screensavers. All we ask is that you respect our Copyright Notice and don't commercially reproduce them. Feel free to share on social media. All we ask is that you share the love and tag us.
To be eligible for a free print you must have a minimum of One product already in your cart . We allow One free print, per art product, per order.
When you check out with any free print (or digital print) you will be emailed a link for easy downloading instantly. Then you are free to print however you choose. We recommend using your local printer, print it at home, or send it on to someone else as a kind gesture, act of love, or an art gift.
COMMERCIAL USE IS PROHIBITED.
FRAMING
By default, we offer an affordable simple style and contemporary wooden Boxed Frame made locally in New Zealand.
Our premium looking minimal Boxed Frame is available in a choice of three modern moulding finishes - natural raw wooden oak, black and white with a lustre matt finish.
Our framing choice offers a little more depth than a standard frame to ensure your art prints are gallery quality with a premium finish.

Our default Boxed Frame has a contemporary wood molding for a minimal and gallery finish look and feel. All of our frames are locally made in New Zealand.

Finished frame dimensions:
A4 = 240mm x 330mm
A3 = 330mm x 450mm
A2 = 450mm x 625mm
A1 = 635mm x 880mm
A0 = 895mm x 1240mm
Sometimes we release products with different framing choices depending on what we feel accentuates your print and are usually our Simple or Classic Frames. At times we will also customise framing.
Simple Frame - 20mm wide x 20mm high x 20mm deep
Classic Frame - 30mm wide x 20mm high x 20mm deep

All of our frames have acid free backing boards and standard 2mm glass.
A4 frames have hanging teeth, A3 - A1 frames are traditionally strung with d-rings.
A0 frames are strung if portrait or d-rings only (no string) if landscape.
Oak Frames are natural, uncoated wood and will slightly darken over time.
Special glass (non-reflective or UV), or archival mats and baking boards are available on request.
All frames are cleanly taped on the back for a professional finish with the Art + Realism branded mark.
Avoid direct sun light to protect your art from fading.
A1 and A0 sized framed prints with a landscape orientation should be hung with two picture hooks with a gap between them. If you hang with one picture hook pressure is increased on the joins and can pull apart over time.
SHIPPING
All orders received for New Zealand customers are sent by courier and tracked. Please make sure someone is home to sign for your parcel, or give us a physical work address for safe delivery of your art. Be sure to see our country shipping time frames and delivery information.
Courier deliveries are made daily between 9am - 5pm. If you are not home, the courier driver will leave a note for collecting from your nearest courier depot.
* Please note: We do not deliver to PO Boxes and rural deliveries can take a little longer
All orders are processed daily before 12pm. Orders received after 4pm daily, will be processed the next day. Weekend orders & Public Holidays will be processed the next business day.
If any delays occur we'll be in touch. Orders received on New Zealand public holidays will be dispatched the following business day.

All prints that require shipping are sent from our Auckland based print supplier in New Zealand.
In the future we may offer a print-on-demand option for specific countries that reduce shipping costs for offshore customers. In the meantime see our shipping rates and delivery times in our Shipping tab.
We will have international shipping locations in 2025 for all offshore customers, that will enable free shipping in some countries.
Yes! We ship art prints (flat or tubed), photography prints (flat or tubed) and canvas prints (tubed) internationally.
Please note we DO NOT ship framed prints internationally.
We also don't frame canvas prints, but can send you to the right people for this.

ORDERS
Shopping with artandrealism.com is a user-friendly and streamlined experience!
1. You can search for your products from our large collection of prints and art products. If you are looking for something you can quickly locate it using the Search tool. Alternatively you can browse our catalog using the various menus - Shop All, New, Bestsellers, Art Prints, Photography, Art Styles, Themes, Sale and so on.
2. Once you have found the print or product an art print you would like to purchase, simply select the size (if multiple size options are available).
3. Select the framing option of choice. You have the option to purchase the print either framed or unframed with a choice of three framing colour ways – Oak, Black, White.
4. Once these options (size and framing) have been selected simply click the 'Add To Cart' button. Your product is automatically added to your cart.
5. Your cart is presented to you on the right side of the website showing what you have selected for your basket. Alter quantities, or remove products as you wish. You may be eligible for free shipping, if not, you can get an estimate by entering in your country and postcode.
6. Once reviewed, you have the option to check-out, or continue shopping. If checking-out, you can quickly proceed to our secure check out and be ready to complete your order by pushing the check-out button.

Yes! We offer a check-out service for both account holders and visitors.
1. If you do make an account you will always have a record of your orders safely displayed in your account.
2. You can make an account by clicking on the little Person icon top right. An account stores your name, address and products to make checking out quick and easy anytime you shop with us.
3. If you ever loose your pasword you can reset it. An email will be sent to the email you entered from your original account entry. Simply reset and you are free to login again with your new password.
4. Feel free to logout of your account at anytime. This is merely a quick shopping option for you now or in the future.
Yes we do! You can buy a Art + Realism Gift Card here.
When you purchase one of our Gift Cards you will recieve an email from us confirming your Gift Card order with instructions on how to redeem it. It's a very simple process for everyone.
Our gift cards do not have any additional processing fees and there is no expiration date.

RETURNS
We really hope and trust you will adore and love your new art prints and products from Art & Realism.
If you don't love your new art or framed art, or it doesn't fit your beautiful space, we are more than happy to offer you an exchange, store credit or full refund providing the product is in it's original condition.
To accept your return, it must be within 30 days of receiving your goods and it must be returned in tip top condition.

To return items, please contact us between business hours of 10am-5pm Monday to Friday (weekends and public holidays not included). Or email us providing your order number and details of your return. We are not liable for missing art if your returning courier service doesn't offer tracking.
We recommend using the original packaging we sent to you, to safely return your unwanted print to minimise the risk of damage, for a successful return to be accept.
For items that are damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please contact us with your order number and we will arrange to replace at no additional cost to you.
Where a replacement is not possible, a full refund of the purchase price will be made. You can expect a replacement, exchange or refund, within 7 days of us receiving the returned item.
Get in touch and we are happy to give you our return address.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
We take great care to ensure your orders are protected in transit. In an unfortunate event where your order does not arrive in tip top condition please email us and we will try fix the issue immediately and to the best we can. You may be asked to provide evidence of the damaged/faulty or incorrect goods, photos, etc.
Once your item has been inspected and confirmed, we will exchange it for exactly the same item. If the item is out of stock you will be advised immediately and will have the opportunity to choose another product of the same value in our store, or apply for a refund.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned; Digital Products, Perishable Goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), Custom Products (such as special orders or personalised items), Personal Care Goods (such as beauty products)
We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, us email us and then send your item to;

REFUNDS
If you’d like to return your print or artwork, you are responsible for getting it back to us in perfect condition at your own cost. Get in touch and we will let you know what to do to return it to us safely.
Please carefully repackage (like the packaging you received it in). We recommend using a tracked, or signed courier service to ensure it arrives back to us safely. Once received and inspected, we will then organise a store credit or refund.
Refunds are not given on large format prints, digital products, custom designs and sale items. If you would like a replacement, check with us in advance to see if it is in stock, limited edition prints sell out.
We are unable to offer refunds or replacements of orders if you simply change your mind or have chosen the wrong size.
We have a print-on-demand printing and manufacturing process that does not accomodate this change.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or has missing parts for reasons not due to our error will not be accepted.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Our electronic eGift Cards by Art & Realism are not refundable.

GIFT CARDS
If the item was marked as a gift card when purchased it will be electronically delivered to you. You will receive a email gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
1. Art & Realism electronic e-Gift Cards;
(i) Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash;
(ii) This card has no value until activated at time of purchase;
(iii) To redeem this card, check your email receipt from us and find the unique code and enter at checkout; any balance remaining to pay can be paid with a credit card by prompted instructions before completely checking out;
(iiii) Values between $30, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250 and $500 can be applied to each card;
(v) No change will be given, but balances may be redeemable on subsequent purchases;
(vi) These electronic Gift Cards are redeemable at www.artandrealism.com online store;
