With more than 30 years of painting and visual arts under his belt, Peter is a self-taught hyper-realism and realism painter, with the odd exploration of abstract landscapes.

Creating original work has always been a hobby for Pete and in 2023 he decided to hang up his corporate shoes for good and pursue painting full-time.

Based in Waipa, Keri Keri, Peter Rewi is an emerging artist. His style is contemporary realism and he paints what resonates with him and his Wairua. His Maori heritage is his guide, connecting with his ancestors in all that he creates.

Painting for Pete, is his favourite and creative pastime and his biggest love. It's been a lifelong dream for Pete to live in the country, open his own gallery and turn his passion into his livelihood and begin his art journey.
