This painting conveys a sense of warmth and light, with vivid yellow and red brushstrokes scattered across a soft, almost cloudy white backdrop. The irregular yet rhythmic strokes resemble flickering embers or autumn leaves floating gently on a breeze. The soft, unfinished edges of the composition add a sense of fluidity and openness as if the scene continues beyond the canvas. The artwork captures themes of warmth, transformation, and the fleeting nature of time, with a delicate interplay between energy and calm. Made in NZ with love.

A Stroke Survivor's Artistic Journey of Resilience and Inspiration; In the tapestry of human stories, Paul emerges as a testament to the indomitable spirit that can rise from the depths of adversity. Born in Christchurch, New Zealand Paul graduated from Canterbury University with a BSC with Honours in Psychology. After winning a Fulbright Scholarship he continued his film career largely as an independent filmmaker based in London marketing international films. Back in New Zealand in the mid-2000s, Paul continued working in New Zealand film and with other creative industry bodies. In late 2021, during a COVID lockdown, Paul faced a severe stroke, leaving him with right-side hemiparesis and aphasia. Remarkably, just a week after the stroke, he embarked on a rehabilitation journey. Despite a challenging three-month hospital stay, Paul channelled this life-altering experience into an artistic expression. His work has garnered attention for its visual appeal and the depth of emotion and meaning infused into each piece. Amid rehabilitation, art has become his therapeutic outlet, driven by an unyielding passion for self-expression and a commitment to reclaiming his life. Paul symbolises unwavering determination, transforming physical limitations into an opportunity for creativity.
